SkillWIZ

VET Foresight Academy

Vocational Education and Training
Project number: 2025-1-PL01-KA220-VET-000363129
Project Duration 01.11.2025 - 31.10.2027

About the project

SkillWIZ is an Erasmus+ project that strengthens the Vocational Education and Training sector by equipping educators and trainers with practical foresight skills. As labour markets change quickly due to digital transformation, green transition and social developments, VET needs tools that help anticipate future skill needs instead of reacting to them. SkillWIZ supports this shift by enabling VET professionals to design training that is future oriented, inclusive and aligned with real economic needs.

The project will create the VET Foresight Academy, an interactive digital platform that offers training and practical resources to help educators apply foresight methods such as trend analysis and scenario planning in their teaching and organisational planning. SkillWIZ will also organise co development workshops, a train the trainer programme and testing activities to ensure that the approach can be used effectively in different VET settings.

A strong focus is placed on inclusion, ensuring that foresight based approaches also support learners from marginalised groups and reduce the risk of skill mismatches that can lead to exclusion.

Il Girasole Società Cooperativa Sociale Onlus

For over 20 years, Il Girasole cooperative has been involved in the management of personal, social and healthcare services, with activities aimed at pursuing the wellbeing of the community. Its projects are aimed at fragile and vulnerable individuals or those at risk of social exclusion.

Today, Il Girasole integrates two core activities: one dedicated to care and assistance services for vulnerable individuals, and the other focused on developing community, reception, and integration services for those at risk of exclusion. The result is a huge cooperative that designs and manages a wide range of services, leveraging expertise in close contact with the local community.

The services within the cooperative refer to six areas of intervention:

  1. Care Area: This area includes social and health services aimed at: the elderly, people with physical or mental disabilities or mental health problems.
  2. Healthcare Area: This is the reference area for all healthcare and nursing services managed by the cooperative. We invest daily in the development and professionalization of complex, large-scale services, designing them with public and local authorities.
  3. Minors and Youth Area: This area manages services dedicated to minors at risk of exclusion. The services offered are varied: child protection and family support services, home-based education services, residential reception facilities for minors and young adults, reception projects for unaccompanied foreign minors, youth centers and street mediation services, study support services for children with special educational needs (SEN) and learning disabilities (LD), orientation projects and workshops in schools, and experimental projects for the empowerment and support of minors at risk of exclusion (offenders, dropouts , NEETs , etc.).
  4. Immigration Area: aims to ensure quality reception and interventions to protect beneficiaries.
  5. Active Labor Policies: specializes in managing projects aimed at the orientation, support, and employment placement of individuals experiencing disadvantage and/or at risk of exclusion. Through our services, we offer individualized programs, tailored to the beneficiaries’ characteristics, to foster the development of skills that can be applied to the labor market and social inclusion process. We collaborate closely with local social services, training agencies, and local businesses, sharing the design and development of interventions.
  6. Housing Area : The area’s projects address situations of severe marginalization or socio-housing hardship in the local area.
